It seems the Garden State is nurturing some bright, young economists. The annual team competition for high schoolers from the tristate area tests student knowledge of economic issues—everything from monetary policy to the outlook for inflation. Teams presented their economic views this spring to a panel of real Federal Reserve economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in Manhattan. Defending champ Montclair High School won again, followed closely by Northern Highland High School in Allendale.
